Shitionary. Topped with cheese. UPDATED

Updated below...

I've had a goddam cold since Tuesday.  It started with a sore throat and then sniffles and then sneezing and then fever and now a nastyass cough with all sorts of yellowy green shit discharging from my lungs.  (Special thanks to my *wonderful* Quasi-Step-Dad who had this cold last weekend and must've given it to me.  How kind of him.)

Despite my illness, Canada Day was good.  I'll tell you about it later.

More importantly, as part of the celebratory holiday weekend (on both sides of this glorious border!), we have officially launched our Cheesy Blogger Movement!

Thanks to the help of my friends SarcasmInAction at Musings of a Sarcastic Mind and Angela at Begging The Answer, the three of us have launched a new blogger community to share and link and laugh.

Click on this.
It's the hottest thing, y'all.  Be there or be square.

There are games, and jokes, and lots of opportunities to guest post.  It's all about spreading cheese.  And if you follow our site, not only will you be part of the coolest club in town, but we'll pimp you out to other bloggers.  Seriously.  What are you waiting for?  Go check it out.  Like, now.

And when you get back, play Shitionary!  Because it's fun.

You guys were awfully quiet this time, but against all odds, someone did actually win.  In fact, she was DEAD-ON.

Now.  Here's my problem.  I don't want you all thinking I cheated after the whole Shitionary Gate scandal, or just because the winner happens to be a fellow Cheesy Blogger founder, because I TOTALLY DIDN'T CHEAT.

Congratulations Miss Sarcasm!  You finally won!  (I knew you'd eventually make a real guess if you actually had a clue.)  For you, my dear:

Shitionary Sunday Yet Again (aka Shitionary-Gate)

UPDATED BELOW

Ok, it's Shitionary Sunday!  Go!

And the answer is...

Body Check.

That's a hockey player.  And I circled his body.  And then there's a check next to him (or "cheque", for me.)

See?  Body + Check = Body Check

I don't watch hockey.  Or any sport, actually.  Unless So You Think You Can Dance is a sport.

But I have been watching some of the Stanley Cup Final because our beloved Canucks are playing! I don't really know much about the Canucks, either, but I do love Luongo.  Luuuuuuuuu!

The hilarious genius Handflapper won!  Yay!  And on her birthday too!  YAY YAY!  Congrats, Doll.  Sorry.  I didn't get you anything else for you birthday.  Cherish this.

And my friend Elle P was pretty close with "penalty check".  I'm not sure what a penalty check is, but I figure she was on the right track.  And for that I bestow this lovely button upon her:

And the whole thing was all happy-go-lucky, until...

Until I was unceremoniously accused of CHEATING!

And then it all got REALLY out of hand.  Governments fell, someone sent a text to Jesus, and I think someone else was grounded.  I'm not sure what happened...

You can try to follow the shit-show on twitter, if you like.  But I might not advise it.  Twitter is dirty.

It all started when I felt bad for my poor friend Steph who NEVER wins Shitionary.

(To be fair, she doesn't really guess realistic possibilities.  But I think if she ever actually KNEW the answer, she'd guess it.)

So I told Steph that next time I'd draw something cheese-related and then she'd be sure to get it.

But then my "friend" Jacqui got all up in our bid-nas.

So that turned into what we're calling The Great Shitionary Scandal of 2011.  Or Shitionary-Gate

Eventually I think we worked it out.

But I won't be sure until the next round.  We'll see if a cop shows up at my door or something.

Or Jesus.  If Jesus shows up here, man, I'm gonna SHIT MY PANTS.

It's Shitionary Sunday again! RESOLVED!

Resolved at the bottom!

Funny how when you fight with Depression and Anxiety for weeks on end, 36 hours incident-free seems like FOREVER.

Sweet!  I didn't have a breakdown today!  Woohoo!  The meds must be kicking in!

But I'm always waiting for the other cute fuchsia running shoe to fall.  The one random thing that will set me off into a weird little panic, or a desire to bury my head in the feather duvet.

I'm never sure what will cause it, or quite what it will feel like - but it usually it feels like someone sneaking up behind me and running their nails down a chalkboard right next to my head.  Or that sense of concern when you think you're eating bad chicken but you eat it anyway even though you're dreading the eventual outcome.

Anyway, I had to keep it together to host a house full of groupies who were here for Hubby's concert.  (Which was awesome, by the way. Good job Hubby!)  And I stayed relatively sane, considering.

My weekend inspired a Shitionary post.  So here it is, for your guessing pleasure.  Good luck!

Congrats jacqui!  You win!  You are one intuitive chick.  Not only were you the first responder, but you were the only person to get it right!  Everyone else seems to be pretty distracted by the Rapture...?

Shitionary Sunday - Resolved

Updated with the winner at the bottom!

I have added today's drawing at the bottom, for your guessing pleasure.  Good luck!

Welcome to Shitionary Sunday.

Ok, so it's only Saturday.  But I have to give y'all fair warning.  You know.  So you can prepare yourselves for the fierce competition.  (?)

I shall post a new Shitionary drawing tomorrow.  I don't know what time, but I'll aim for pre- noon.

I was trying to come up with some inspiration for a meaningful and poignant Shitionary post.

First I thought "Royal Wedding" would be a good theme.  But then I thought that if I hear those two effing words in the same effing sentence one more time I might go even more crazy than I already am

And I already did a Beatles theme.  So that's out.

And while anything with cats is usually an inspiring theme for me (in the form of calendars, srceen savers, figurines, sweatshirts, and YouTube playlists), if I tried to draw one, it would most likely turn out looking something like this:

And as cute as this guy is, I don't think he appropriately captures all of a cat's adorning qualities.

So.  Where does that leave us?

1) New Shitionary post tomorrow.
2) Before noon.
3) With no known category.

Oh, and 4) I think I'll hold onto your comments until a few people get a chance to guess.  I don't want to give it away too soon. (And I kinda want y'all to squirm a bit too.)

See you tomorrow!

Here is today's drawing:

UPDATED AGAIN:

You guys are awesome.  Hubby said this was too hard, but I was sure he was underestimating the creativity and intelligence of my readers!  (Or overestimating his own... not sure.)

The answer:  Neo and Trinity.  Yes, from the Matrix.

This week's award goes to L.A.C.E., of My Glass House who was so close that it has to count.  Congrats!

In addition, I have one very worthy honourable mention:

Elle, of ThisIsMommyhood, you were really onto something with Quentin Tarantino.  Also you're so fun and supportive that I hereby mention you honourably.

Thanks for playing guys!  I heart you all.

Shitionary - UPDATED

I was telling you last week about my recent game of Pictionary, and the hilarity that of course ensued.  And then my blogger friend jacqui asked me when the next installment would occur...

So.  Welcome to Shitionary.  Like Pictionary, but shittier.

I've crafted another example of my brilliant artistry and posted it here for your guessing pleasure.

Enjoy!

UPDATED

Well, thanks for playing along!  Love you gals.  You are Shitionary masters.  I am highly impressed.

SarcasmInAction, you are hilarious, but unfortunately wrong.
Elle, you are hilarious and also CORRECT!
Jacqui, you are too slow (and bitter, apparently?)  :)

Elle, here is your award!  Congratulations!

Inappropriate touching!

If you don't share my undying love of Pictionary, here is your forewarning:

This post is about Pictionary - more importantly, this post is about how much I love Pictionary.

We played it with a friend on Friday night.  And it was awesome.

I think my favourite thing about it is how you always end up guessing things like:

Turtle with whiskers!
Also known as a walrus, which miraculously turned into "blubber".

Pacman!
I don't even remember what this was supposed to be - but it wasn't pacman

Inappropriate touching!

That's right!  Well it was "touch", but close enough.
(I had to blur out part of the picture, though.)

And I especially love the challenge of Pictionary.  I always prefer to pick the more difficult option to draw, just to see if I can nail it.  I'm good at it.  And unlike Hubby, I rarely end up throwing the marker across the room.

Running!  Dashes!   A road!

This is Hubby's representation of "two words".
Pretty smart, in retrospect.  But at the time, it was useless.

Also, I very rarely just stare at the board thinking about what to draw, while the timer click-click-clicks away.  I always try to draw at least something.  Even if I end up pathetically and repetitively tapping the picture with the marker and circling it over and over again.

Woman!  Lady!  Girl!  Man!  Bride!  Groom!  COUPLE!  Wedding!  Married?  WEDDING! Marriage?  Walking down the aisle!  Wife!?  HUSBAND!!

Yes!  Husband!  Finally.

Accolades and praise to he or she who can identify this last one...
